VITERBO UNIVERSITY ANNOUNCES NEW EDUCATIONAL ADMINISTRATIVE PROGRAMS
LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction has approved the director of instruction licensure program at Viterbo University. This licensure program may be coupled with the already approved educational leadership/principalship program.
“Principals are expected to be instructional leaders,” said Jim Bagniewski, director of educational leadership in the Viterbo Master of Arts in Education Program. “Earning a director of instruction licensure will add to their effectiveness.”
The new director of instruction licensure allows program completers to become curriculum directors. Currently, students in the educational leadership/principalship program take a total of 24 credits. Now, students may couple the two programs and earn both principal and director of instruction license for a total of 30 credits.
Viterbo is the sole provider of the principalship and director of instruction licensure programs in western Wisconsin. The director of instruction program will begin at Viterbo in late summer or early fall. For more information on Viterbo’s administrative licensure programs, contact Jim Bagniewski at 608-796-3093 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
