FIDDLER EILEEN IVERS AND IMMIGRANT SOUL TO PERFORM AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY MARCH 1
LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Viterbo University NexStar Season will continue Thursday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m. as seven-time all-Ireland fiddle champion Eileen Ivers brings her incredible skill and musicianship to the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.
Described as the “Jimi Hendrix of the violin,” Ivers is considered the leading Irish fiddle player in the world. She has performed with the London Symphony Orchestra, the National Symphony at the Kennedy Center, and the Boston Pops. She was also the musical star of the original Riverdance.
Ivers and accompanying band Immigrant Soul produce a wonderful mix of African and Latin percussion and bass, Irish instrumentalists, and American soulful vocals. They have headlined major performing arts centers, guest starred with numerous symphonies, performed at major festivals worldwide, and have appeared on national and international television.
