VITERBO UNIVERSITY TO HOST COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIR FEB. 15
LA CROSSE, Wis. – Viterbo University will host a Community Health Fair Thursday, Feb. 15 from 11 a.m.–5 p.m. in the Mathy Center.
The event is free and open to the public and will feature a blood drive sponsored by the Blood Center of Wisconsin and numerous health screenings, which will include blood pressure, spinal and scoliosis screening, body composition screening, glaucoma screening, nutrition information, and tobacco cessation. Over 40 local health organizations and businesses will be participating in the health fair, which will also include free classes and demonstrations, kids events, healthy snacks, educational displays, and door prizes. “Our goal is to offer education and resources on healthy living and we have a very diverse list of participants at the fair,” said Sue Danielson, campus nurse. “We’re hoping for a big turnout from the community, as many people will be able to benefit from the event. Participants include the American Cancer Society, the American Red Cross, Coulee Council on Addictions, Family Vision Center, the La Crosse County Public Health Department, Franciscan Skemp, and Gundersen Lutheran.”
