DAVE BENNETT’S SEPTET PRESENTS A TRIBUTE TO BENNY GOODMAN AT VITERBO UNIVERSITY NOVEMBER 11
LA CROSSE, Wis. – Clarinet phenom Dave Bennett leads his critically acclaimed septet in a special tribute to Benny Goodman and his classic music at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.
Bennett is a musical prodigy with incredible technique, style, and a beautiful tone, and he and his group’s attire will transport audiences back to the swing era. The show features show arrangements of Goodman classics such as Moonglow, I’ve Got Rhythm, Body and Soul, and Sing, Sing, Sing.
Joining Bennett are musical director and bassist Paul Keller, vocalist Chelsea Krombach, guitarist Hugh Leal, drummer Peter Siers, pianist Bill Meyer, and, bringing to life the hot vibraphone style of Goodman Quartet member Lionel Hampton is Cary Kocher.
