VITERBO UNIVERSITY MUSIC AND THEATRE DEPARTMENTS PRESENT MOZART’S THE MAGIC FLUTE OPERA OCTOBER 13–15
LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Viterbo University music and theatre departments will present Mozart’s masterpiece opera, The Magic Flute, Friday, Oct. 13 through Sunday, Oct. 15 in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.
The Magic Flute is a comedy and love story that explores the classic theme of good versus evil. It is filled with memorable characters and spoken dialogue as well as brilliant music.
“The cast is filled with marvelous singers and the elaborate costumes give the opera tremendous visual appeal,” said music professor Dan Johnson-Wilmot, who is directing the music portion of the production. Viterbo has presented an opera every other year since 1976.
