Staff and administrators are invited to attend Micro-Aggressions: Are you being Inclusive?, presented by Beth Hartung, executive director of Options Clinic, Passionate about Diversity and Inclusion, Tuesday, Dec. 2. Learn about the message we send to others through brief and commonplace daily verbal indignities. These intentional and non-intentional indignities are micro-aggressions. Participant will have an opportunity to examine his/her personal experience, raise awareness and understanding of how inclusive and exclusive behaviors and attitudes can impact individuals and environments, and dialog about how the collective “we” can make a difference in creating a more inclusive living and working environment. There will be two identical sessions: 8–10 a.m. and 2:30–4:30 p.m., both in the Reinhart Board Room.
