The Viterbo University theatre and music theatre department will present the inaugural New Works Festivalon Friday, Jan. 25–Saturday, Jan. 26 and Friday, Feb. 1–Saturday, Feb. 2 at the Weber Center for the Performing Arts. All performances will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Civil rights activist and author David Dennis Sr., will present the keynote address “What Does it Mean to be an American?” at the La Crosse Community Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.
The outstanding sibling piano quintet The 5 Browns will perform at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16 in the Viterbo University Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.

The fire alarm systems will be tested Wednesday, June 24 between 8–9 a.m. in the Fine Arts Center, Reinhart Center, and Murphy Center. The alarms will only be activated for a few seconds. The buildings do not need to be evacuated. The fire system will also be tested in the Mathy Center and Varsity Athletic Center between 9–10 a.m. In these buildings the alarms will last longer, but the buildings do not need to be evacuated.


Coulee Council on Addictions is teaming up with the La Crosse Loggers for the Home Run II event at Copeland Park Saturday, Aug. 1 to benefit Coulee Council on Addictions. This family event will include a 9K race, a 5K run/walk, little leaguers races, carnival games, bounce houses, and face painting. To register, visit and search “Home Run.”
