Seventy-eight undergraduate students and 36 master’s degree students will be candidates for graduation at Viterbo University’s winter commencement ceremony at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16 in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.
Celebrate the holiday season with A Viterbo Christmas: And a Little Child Shall Lead Them at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2 and 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3 in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre.
The works of Viterbo senior creative media design students Jake Adams, Mannie De La Rosa, and Amanda Meyer will be featured in an exhibit opening with a reception from 4–6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29 in the Viterbo University Todd Wehr Memorial Library Gallery in Murphy Center.

Students: Many students may have received a message from noreply@mailjet.totalhealthinteractive.com welcoming them to their new personal wellness account. Rec Sports is working Beagle Productions to bring the health and wellness software and smartphone application, Healthy U Interactive. The message was safe, but unfortunately it had been sent to students prematurely. In the coming weeks more information will be coming out regarding Healthy U Interactive, including the official unique sign up for each Viterbo student. Rec Sports apologizes for any confusion and they look forward to bringing students Healthy U Interactive soon.

 

Hiring news from Sonya Ganther, HR: Ted Falkner joins Viterbo this week as the head baseball coach. Ted was previously the assistant head baseball coach at Madonna University in Michigan and Ashford University in Iowa. He had played college baseball for Concordia University in Michigan. Ted has a master’s in organizational management from Ashford University. He can be reached at tjfalkner@viterbo.eduJordan Manley will join Viterbo on Oct. 7 as a part-time administrative assistant for retention. Jordan also works at Gunderson Health Systems as an Admissions Counselor. Thursday, Oct. 9 is National Depression Screening Day. Health Services will offer confidential Depression and Anxiety Screening on campus on Tuesday, Oct. 7 from 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. in the Student Union and from 2–4 p.m. in the School of Nursing Buidling Foyer, and on Thursday, Oct. 9 from 2–4 p.m. on the second floor of the Mathy Center. It only takes a few minutes and you will be eligible to sign up to win gift cards. If you or someone you know is experiencing signs of anxiety or depression, get help.

 

October Breast Cancer Awareness ribbons now available for $1 at the Mathy Center Front Desk. Funds are donated to Gundersen Health System’s Steppin’ Out in Pink.

 

The Wall of Remembrance is up in the Mathy Center. Post a pink ribbon in honor of a friend or family member who has had breast cancer.

The Student Dietetics Association will host a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser for Viterbo Days Friday, Oct. 10 from 4:30­–6:30 p.m in the School of Nursing Building 195. Everything is homemade and includes spaghetti, meatballs, garlic bread, salad with a red wine vinaigrette dressing, and dessert.
