Viterbo Love Your Melon is asking everyone to wear a gold or yellow shirt on Monday, Sept 25 in recognition of September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Everyone wearing gold or yellow is asked to participate in a campus photo in Assisi Courtyard at 11:15 a.m. The group will also be handing out mini gold ribbons that day.
Viterbo employees, students, and alumni are invited to participate in Viterbo’s first Service Saturday of the academic year Sept. 30. Participants will meet on campus at 8:30 a.m. before traveling to the service sites. Service will follow from 9 a.m.–noon, concluding with a shared meal and reflection back at Viterbo. Registration is required by Monday, Sept. 25. Are you looking for a great family experience that gives you the unique opportunity to visit the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration Villa? Attend the annual stargazing hike at the Villa on St. Joseph’s Ridge from 4:30–9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23. The Viterbo University Hospitality Committee is promoting this event for Viterbo employees. Feel free to bring lawn chairs and snacks and relax in and around the quonset. The Viterbo Hospitality Committee will be providing supplies for S’mores. The schedule: 4:45–5:45 p.m. greenhouse/garden tours; 6–7:30 p.m. hikes of the property; 7:45–9:30 p.m. stargazing.
Viterbo dietetics is seeking adults ages 18–65 with a BMI of 25–40 who are interested in weight loss to participate in a free eight-week study to learn if a betaine supplement and no change in diet or exercise will help to speed fat loss and increase muscle mass.
