Army ROTC will conduct a Contracting Ceremony at 3:45 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11 in Assisi Courtyard. Cadets who contract are formally committing to serve as Commissioned Officers in the Army after they complete their degree programs and ROTC commissioning requirements. Come out and congratulate those who contract. Inclement weather location is the Reinhart Boardroom.

 

Retired Wisconsin DNR wildlife experts Mike Foy and Tom Hauge will present “A Proposal to Halt Chronic Wasting Disease in Wisconsin” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10 in the School of Nursing Building 196.

If the answer is yes, you'll want to mark your calendar for Oct. 16 and plan to visit the Brophy Center patio between 9 a.m.–noon to chat with Acuity Insurance personnel as part of their College-2-Acuity Bacon Tour. Any junior or senior who presents a resume is guaranteed a phone interview. Acuity will also be participating in that day’s Leadership at Noon series.

 

Registration for Speed Mock Interviewing is now open. This is your opportunity to get feedback from many professional and practice getting comfortable doing interviews. The event is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 12 from 5:30–8 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Lobby. Go to ‘my events’ in Purple Briefcase to register today before spots fill up.

 

Sign-up for Saturday’s Hmong New Year Cultural Festival, the biggest Hmong festival of the year. Viterbo will be covering the entry fee and transportation for students on a first come, first served basis. Groups meet in the Student Union at 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Learn a little about Hmong culture and the Hmong New Year’s Celebration from VU Hmong Student Ambassadors, and board a bus to West Salem where the festival is taking place. After spending two hours at the festival, buses will bring students back to Viterbo at 2:30 and 3 p.m., respectively. Click here to sign-up. Questions?
