6:30–8 p.m. SMART Recovery Meeting – Student Development Center second floor. Viterbo’s SMART Recovery meeting is a self-help support group for students experiencing any addictive behavior.

Administrative Assembly is sponsoring their annual Food for Finals for students. Four locations will be available during finals week for students to grab a snack as they study for their exams. Viterbo employees are invited to donate individually bagged treats, pre-packaged snacks, and non-refrigerated items. Monetary donations are welcome too. Monetary donations can be sent in a sealed envelope via intra-campus mail to Mary Mormann in Murphy Center 510. Food donations can be dropped off at the Copy Center, the library, outside Murphy Center 379, and the School of Nursing Building office. Donations will be accepted Monday, Dec. 3–Friday, Dec. 7. Freshly baked items may be dropped off in Murphy Center 377 on Monday, Dec 10 until 10 a.m.

 

Some Enactus Cookie Jars remain. $8 each, check them out Monday, Dec. 3 from 9–11 a.m. in Brophy Center Commons while supplies last.

 

Did you know? Some college students believe that it is “safe” to use prescription stimulants (ADHD medication) without a prescription. However, this is both dangerous and illegal. Overdosing on this medication can cause delirium, confusion, aggressiveness, and hallucinations. Need help for stimulant misuse? Resources include Narcotics Anonymous, SMART Recovery, Viterbo University counseling, and other local counseling agencies.

 

Construction activities will begin in the Fine Arts Center on Monday, Dec 3. Construction is expected to continue in the Fine Arts Center until mid-March. Some of the activities may be noisy.

 

Viterbo community members are invited to go Christmas Caroling at local long-term care facilities at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4. RSVP via the Viterbo app and meet in the School of Nursing Building Lobby that evening. RSVPs are needed by at least 10 people.

 

Nursing students are holding a drive for feminine hygiene products for WAFER. Collection boxes have been set up in various campus buildings.
