Don’t go home for the holidays without protecting yourself and your family from the flu. Health Services will hold a flu shot clinic on Tuesday, Nov. 22 from 10 a.m.–noon in the Student Union. Cost is $7 for students and $17 for employees.
Franciscan CORE, a five-day summer, residential program for rising 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students is looking to hire current Viterbo students to serve as mentors for the camp June 11–16, 2017 on Viterbo’s campus. This Lilly Endowment funded summer camp focuses on education, reflection, and experience of Catholic Social Teaching themes and principles using St. Francis of Assisi as a model for action. Student mentors will be offered room and board for the week and a stipend. Qualified students will have an enthusiasm for working with high school aged persons and an interest in serving and advocating for social justice. Student mentor applications are available in Murphy Center 321 and the Campus Ministry Office. Application deadline is Dec. 1.
Four students from VUSM 290, Introduction to Women’s Studies, have teamed up with New Horizons, a local sexual and domestic abuse shelter, to collect spare change around campus. The goal is to help the victims and their families to celebrate a Christmas filled with hope and joy. There will be Christmas-themed boxes around campus until Dec. 7. If you have spare change, consider donating to an amazing cause.
