La Crosse Colleges Against Cancer invites you to their Lung Cancer Awareness Event at Howie's on La Crosse tonight from 7–10 p.m. There will be a “Singing Bee” competition, awareness information and education, appetizer specials and more.

The Fine Arts Center scheduling staff will hold an educational session on how to plan for your event, Wednesday, Nov. 19 from 10–11 a.m., Reinhart Center Board Room. RSVP to scheduling@viterbo.edu. The global education office is looking for volunteers to host international students for a Thanksgiving meal at your home or church. Staff and administrators are invited to attend Micro-Aggressions: Are you being Inclusive?, presented by Beth Hartung, executive director of Options Clinic, Passionate about Diversity and Inclusion, Tuesday, Dec. 2. Learn about the message we send to others through brief and commonplace daily verbal indignities. These intentional and non-intentional indignities are micro-aggressions. Participant will have an opportunity to examine his/her personal experience, raise awareness and understanding of how inclusive and exclusive behaviors and attitudes can impact individuals and environments, and dialog about how the collective “we” can make a difference in creating a more inclusive living and working environment. There will be two identical sessions: 8–10 a.m. and 2:30–4:30 p.m., both in the Reinhart Board Room.
