Chanage of Location: The Fourth Annual Veterans Day Ceremony, to be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. (the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month) has been relocated to San Damiano Chapel. Warm apple cider and cookies will be served in the Student Development Center Conference Room following the ceremony.

VU After Dark is taking students to see The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 on Saturday, Nov. 22 at 10:30 p.m. Transportation will be provided from the Student Union. Tickets are limited; reserve your seat in the Office of Residence Life. First come, first served.

The Viterbo Office of Global Education will be hosting a webinar on Wednesday from 1–2 p.m. Music of the Holocaust and Jewish Music in Poland, featuring Fulbright Scholar and Viterbo alumna, Sonja Larson, highlights her research of Music in the Holocaust. V-Hawks for Life Baby Bottle Drive Nov. 10–20. Pick up a baby bottle from Campus Ministry or place your baby material and monetary donations, prayers, and love in the buckets and boxes around campus and let V-Hawks for Life pass it along to Birthright and Viterbo’s Food Pantry to help care for families in need.  Every bit counts.

Get ready to dance, this Friday, Nov. 14, at Viterbo’s annual International Dance. Traditional Bollywood dance lessons will be led by the Cultural Heritage Association of India from 7:30-8:30 p.m. with the International Dance to follow from 8:30–midnight. The event is open to the public and will be held in Viterbo’s cafeteria. Admission is $2 per person or a non-perishable food donation. These donations will go to the Viterbo student food pantry. In preparation for National Recycling Day on Saturday, Nov. 15, the Residence Life Sustainability Committee will be sharing recycling information every day this week.  According to, recycling aluminum cans saves 95% of the energy used to make aluminum cans from new material. Bins for recycling aluminum cans are found in every campus building and at the entrance to the Student Union. They may also be put into outdoor bins between Bonaventure and McDonald, behind Canticle, and next to Treacy.
