Beginning today May 26, contractors will be saw cutting concrete in Murphy Center room 304, creating noise and dust. The area will be sealed off.

 

Wish Crystal Becker, payroll specialist, well at a farewell reception in her honor from 1–2 p.m. Thursday, May 28 in the Fine Arts Center Hospitality Suite. Refreshments will be served. Crystal has accepted a position with Onalaska School District. Her last day at Viterbo will be June 2.

 

Hiring news from Sonya Ganther, human resources: Aaron Larson has joined Viterbo as a server administrator within IIT. Aaron was previously a server administrator with Kwik Trip and the Holmen School District. Aaron has a bachelor’s degree in organizational management from Viterbo University. He can reached at amlarson@viterbo.edu.

The D. B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership has awarded three Viterbo faculty members with research fellowships for the 2015-16 academic year: Apryl Denny, English, “The Ethics of Homosexuality in the Fin de Siècle English Gothic Novel”; Mary Ellen Haupert, music, “Weaving Words and Music:  Fostering a Meaningful Intercultural Exchange through Music Composition”; and Stephanie J. Thorson-Olesen, psychology, “Caring for Aging Populations: Examining Compassion Fatigue and Satisfaction.” Recipients of the fellowship are named “Fellows of the D. B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership.” The purpose of the research fellowships is to increase the amount and quality of research conducted at Viterbo University related to ethics in leadership.
