Congratulations to dietetics student Eliza Short, who was one of four students in the state to receive a Wisconsin Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Outstanding Dietetics Student Award. Short and the other award recipients will be honored at the organization’s annual conference in Elkhart Lake in April.

 

The fall schedule is now available in VitNet or on the registrar’s web page at http://www.viterbo.edu/registrar/current-class-schedules. Students should contact their advisors to receive their registration date and time. Advisors must clear their advisees to register by approving each of them in VitNet under the “approve advisees to register” link. Registration begins Tuesday, April 7.

 

Abraham Haim, Ph.D., President of the Council of the Sephardi Community of Jerusalem, will present faculty member Jesús Jambrina, world languages and cultures, with the prestigious Medal of the Four Synagogues in recognition of Jambrina’s research on the Medieval Jewish heritage of Zamora, Spain on Tuesday, March 24 at 4:30 p.m. in the Reinhart Center Board Room. The Viterbo community is invited to attend.

 

Students: Are you currently minor-less? Interested in learning how a minor could benefit you? Attend Minors 101. The Office of Student Success is hosting Minors 101 Tuesday, March 24 in the School of Nursing Building 195 from 3:30–5 p.m. Stop in and learn more about the different minors offered on campus. Refreshments will be provided.

Attention fishermen and women: There are approximately 600 colleges and universities across the country with competitive fishing clubs. Competitions in the Midwest are typically bass fishing tournaments held late spring through early fall. Viterbo rec sports is currently gauging student interest in competitive fishing. If you are interested in competitive, collegiate fishing contact Rec Sports at recsports@viterbo.edu with your name, year in school, and phone number.

 

Employees: are you interested in participating in a pilgrimage to Assisi and Rome May 2016 or May 2017? Would you like to learn more about this amazing opportunity? Join Ron Amel (rtamel@viterbo.edu) and Brandy Cleveland (blcleveland@viterbo.edu) Wednesday, March 25 at 3:30 p.m. in Reinhart Center 127. They will share details on the pilgrimage, the financial assistance offered through the Trustee Opportunity Funds, and the application process.
