A significant telephone upgrade will be conducted by Instructional and Information Technology and will result in short periods of limited functionality and a brief outage. The telephone outage will only affect the campus Monday, Jan. 5 and Tuesday, Jan. 6.


Communications and Marketing will offer two walk-in photo sessions this week, Wednesday, Jan. 7 from 8–9 a.m. in Brophy Center 125 and Friday, Jan. 9 from 11 a.m.–noon in Brophy Center 125. Visit to have your photo updated for the website, etc.


Faculty and Staff: The Wisconsin Colllege Personnel Association Executive Board invites you to join them at a social at Howie's on La Crosse Street from 4:30–6:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8. Amber Buschman will join the Masters of Mental Health Counseling team as a part-time administrative assistant. Amber previously worked at Mayo Clinic and Gunderson Tri-County Hospital and Clinics as a Patient Representative. She can be reached at


Bob Reider will join Campus Safety as a part-time safety and security officer. Bob started as police officer and worked up through the ranks retiring as the Chief Deputy Sheriff for Houston County. Bob can be reached at


Brandi Alonzo will join the athletics staff as the women’s softball head coach. Brandi was the assistant softball coach for Lawrence University in Appleton and for Louisiana State University–Eunice. Brandi has a bachelor’s degree in sports administration from the University of Southern Mississippi where she was a 4 year starter for the softball team. Brandi can be reached at


Deb Alexander-Friet will join the Library as the cataloging services librarian. Deb is returning to the Todd Wehr Memorial Library after leaving in 2008 for the Veteran Assistance Medical Center Library and the University of Wisconsin(UW)-La Crosse Murphy Library. Deb has a master’s degree in library and information science from the UW-Milwaukee. Deb can be reached at
