Touchstone, Viterbo’s arts and literary magazine is accepting submissions through Feb. 13. All students and staff are encouraged to submit their work. Students: Looking for a meaningful job this summer? Consider applying to the Summer Service-Learning Scholars Program (SSLS), a pilot program for summer 2017. Similar to the Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program, students in the SSLS program will receive up to $2,500 to work with a faculty mentor and a community partner to engage in projects for eight weeks during the summer. Teams of students, full-time faculty, and community partners from all disciplines are encouraged to apply. Details are available at www.viterbo.edu/ssls. Consider nominating an outstanding Viterbo student for the St. Catherine’s Medal, an award that recognizes students for their commitments to their Catholic education, leadership, service, and the Viterbo mission. Award winners will be presented with a bronze St. Catherine’s Medal, a $50 Downtown La Crosse gift certificate and a free one-year membership to the Kappa Gamma Pi Catholic Honor Society at the Student Recognition Dinner on Monday, March 27. Students, faculty, and staff are all encouraged to nominate.
