Auditions will be held March 2 and March 4 for the Theatre 225 Directing Class 10-min plays. The auditions will be in three minute increments from 8 a.m.–9:20 a.m. (scheduled class time) in the Fine Arts Center La Croix Blackbox Theatre. If you have other classes at that time you cannot be considered for casting or audition. The final presentation of the plays will be May 5 from 3–5 p.m.

 

Duct Tape A Residence Life staff member for $1 Today: The Residence Hall Association (RHA) is raising money in cooperation with the Wisconsin United Residence Hall Associatio for Passing on Hope, which sends soccer balls to deprived communities around the world. Here’s your chance to see the updated Hawk’s Nest and help tape a residence life pro staff member to the brick wall in the new conference room. Your dollar may be spent on Vickie Unferth (11 a.m.–1 p.m.), Crystal Lillge (1–3 p.m.), or Beth Sculley (3–5 p.m.).

Students and Employees: How healthy is our transportation system? Can kids easily and safely walk or bike to school? Wish Gary Klein, institutional advancement, well at farewell reception in his honor from 2–3:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19 in the Reinhart Center Board Room. Gary has accepted the position of vice president for institutional advancement at Edgewood College in Madison. He has served at Viterbo for 13 years. His last day at the university will be Friday, Feb. 20.

Miracle at Viterbo will be held Friday, Feb. 20 from 6 p.m.–2 a.m. in the Mathy Center. Miracle At Viterbo is a dance marathon to raise money for Children's Miracle Network. The Viterbo History Club will screen Ridley Scott's Kingdom of Heaven on Monday, Feb. 23 at 6 p.m. in Murphy Center 432. The film is an action-packed epic about a French village blacksmith who travels to Jerusalem to fight in the Crusades. Keith Knutson, hisotry, will provide some context for the screening, which is being offered in connection with the Humanities Day keynote address, "The Sultan and the Saint."

Call for Papers: Viterbo’s World Languages and Cultures Fifth Annual Latin American and Latino Studies Collaborative Workshop: Faculty members from all disciplines are invited to submit individual papers, presentations, panel or roundtable (three papers and one commentator, 500 word summary of the presentation) for consideration for this April 11 event.
