VU After Dark Events this Weekend: Friday, April 27 at 9 p.m. is Trivia Night. Get your team together and prepare for a night of testing your knowledge. Contrary to the posters around campus the location for the event is Reinhart Center Board Room. Saturday, April 28 at 9 p.m. is Bingo Night. Play bingo and answer some 90s trivia questions for some theme-appropriate prizes. The location for the event is Reinhart Center Board Room.
Evaluate the Identities Project and be entered to win a $50 gift card. Feedback is needed from those who attended events and those who didn’t. Spend five minutes taking this survey. April is sexual assault awareness month. Counseling Services will be providing tea in the Brophy Center commons area from 9–10 a.m. today. Administrative assembly is sponsoring Food for Finals for students. Four locations will be available during finals week for students to grab a snack as they study for their exams. Viterbo employees are invited to donate individually bagged treats, pre-packaged snacks, and non-refrigerated items. Monetary donations are also welcome. Monetary donations can be sent in a sealed envelope via intra-campus mail to Mary Mormann in Murphy Center 510. Food donations can be dropped off at the Copy Center, the library, outside Murphy Center 379, and the School of Nursing Building administrative suite. Donations will be accepted Monday, April 30–Friday, May 4. Freshly baked items may be dropped off in Murphy Center 379 on Monday, May 7 until 10 a.m.
Students and employees: Interested in learning more about the experience 10 senior nursing students had while completing their clinical hours in Haiti? Stop by a fun event on Monday, April 30 from 3:30–5:30 p.m. in the School of Nursing Building 195 to see an edited version of the documentary, Poverty, Inc., as well as hear stories from our student’s experiences while in Haiti. The group will be selling handmade Haitian jewelry (as seen in Poverty, Inc.) which will not only benefit the Haitian artisans that make the jewelry, but the proceeds will go to support the Haiti Nursing Foundation which provides scholarships for Haitian nursing students. Students in Viterbo’s Nursing 390 class, Body and Mind Therapies, will give free 15-minute massages to employees and students in the School of Nursing Building 204 as part of Relax and Refresh Week April 30–May 3. Massages will be available by appointment Monday, April 30 from 10 a.m.–noon and 1–4:30 p.m.; Tuesday, May 1 from 9 a.m.–1 p.m.; Wednesday, May 2 from 9–11 a.m. and 1–3 p.m. and Thursday, May 3 from 9–11 a.m. The massage types available are hand/arm; head, face, neck, and shoulder; back; and foot massage.
