A professional photographer will be on campus Tuesday, April 25 to take photos for marketing purposes. The photographer will be going into classrooms, etc.
The Viterbo University All Student Show will open with a reception from 7:30–9 p.m. Wednesday, April 26 in the Viterbo University Gallery. The exhibit will feature art in a variety of mediums submitted by Viterbo students and selected by a panel of judges.
Employees: The fourth annual employee picnic will be held Friday, May 12 from 11:30 a.m.–1 p.m. in Assisi Courtyard. Join your colleagues for a picnic lunch with music, games, and fun. To RSVP, pick up a lunch ticket in the President’s office in Reinhart Center, the institutional advancement office in Murphy Center, the School of Business office in Brophy Center, the School of Nursing Building office, or the Fine Arts Center office. The deadline to get your ticket is Friday, April 28.
Volunteers Needed: Viterbo will host the WSMA State Solo and Ensemble competition Saturday, May 6. Events will take place from 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. across campus. The Viterbo community is invited to attend the Community Conversation: Servant Leadership and Self Awareness from 7:30–9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 26 in the Reinhart Center Board Room. The Community Conversation will feature speakers Tom Lohr of Starbends Corporation; Chuck Berends with Gerrard Hoeschler; and Sandy Brekke of St. Clare Health Mission. April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. To report abuse, call the social services agency where the child lives or where the abuse occurred. Ask for Child Protective Services and give them the name, age and address of the child and a description of what is happening. You are not required to give your name. In LaCrosse County that number is 608-784-HELP (4357). You are able to make a report 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Blue ribbons have been placed around trees on campus to help spread the word about child abuse prevention month.
Study Abroad and Interns in Action Wednesday, April 26 from 1:30–3 p.m. in the Reinhart Center Board Room. Study abroad students and spring 2017 interns and their site supervisors will be on hand to share their experiences via an informal poster presentation and answer questions about study abroad and internships. If you are thinking about studying abroad or completing an internship in a coming semester, you do not want to miss this event. Refreshments will be served. Students, staff, and faculty are all invited to attend.
If you have any unused, expired or unwanted prescription (pills or patches) or over-the-counter medications, they can be taken to the drop boxes located in the Walgreens on West Avenue or to any of the local police departments, including La Crosse at 400 La Crosse Street. Medications may be harmful if taken by someone other than the person for whom they were prescribed. Be safe and dispose of them properly. The Viterbo community is invited to nominate young women of high school or college age to be considered for recognition as a Young Woman of Tomorrow through the YWCA La Crosse Tribute to Outstanding Women program. Click for the nomination form. Complete and return it (use additional pages as needed) along with two letters of recommendation for each nominee. Nominations are due Wednesday, April 26 by 4 p.m. The Tribute to Outstanding Women will be held Thursday, Nov. 9 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the La Crosse Center Ballroom.

Freshman through senior nursing students are invited to participate in the Spring Fling event. Upper level students will be helping to show the freshman and sophomore students some nursing skills and helping them to prepare for the next few years in nursing school. There are sign-up sheets in the nursing office. Everyone is welcome to attend. The event will be throughout the School of Nursing Building on Friday, April 28 from 9–11 a.m.
Pi Phi will be holding their 2017 induction ceremony for new members of the National Honor Society for Nursing. Everyone is welcome to come and watch as future nurses and nurse leaders become official members to this prestigious nursing organization. The event will be held Thursday, April 27 at 6 p.m. in room 196 of the School of Nursing Building.
