9–11 a.m. Campus Ministry Thursday Morning M.U.G. (Mingle, Unwind, Gather) – Murphy Center 340

 

10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Group walk over to the Adoration Chapel at St. Rose. Meet at Dancing Francis in Assisi Courtyard to walk over with the group. All are welcome to have a brief five minute orientation and to stay as long as they like.

 

11 a.m. Bagels Thursday with the School of Natural Sciences and Math – Reinhart Center Reading Room

 

Noon–1p.m. Session on Contemplation – Fine Arts Center Hospitality Suite. Bring your own lunch. Dessert will be provided.

 

12:15 p.m. Mass – San Damiano Chapel

 

2 p.m. Get the Most From Your Major – School of Nursing Building 202. Sponsored by the Center for Student Success.

 

7 p.m. Volleyball vs. Dordt College – Varsity Athletics Center

 

7–8 p.m. “Women and the Construction of Peace in Colombia” Presentation by Carol Rojas of Colombia –  Fine Arts Center Hospitality Suite. Rojas will present on popular education and intersectional organizing in a dynamic of escalating post-accords Colombia.

 

9 p.m. – Praise and Worship – San Damiano Chapel

 

The Viterbo Community is invited to a Day of Contemplation. Maps of contemplative locations will be available in the lobby of all the academic buildings, the Hawk’s Nest, and Campus Ministry.

 

Viterbo music students will perform the operas The Telephone and The Medium at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 8 in the Weber Center for the Performing Arts. Visit the box  office for tickets.

 

VU After Dark is hosting a trip to the movie The Mountain Between Us Saturday, Oct. 7. Meet in the Student Union at 9 p.m. Transportation will be provided.

 

October Service Saturday is being held in collaboration with WTC and UW-L for Make a Difference Day Saturday, Oct 14. Check in is from 9–9:30 a.m. at Weigent Park, followed by volunteering from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. Afterward, return to the park for food and games/prizes. Click to register. It will take you to the UGetConnected software that helps Viterbo students connect with local volunteer opportunities. There are currently 10 different needs posted that you’ll be able to sign up for directly on the website. Contact Colin Burns-Gilbert at cgburnsgilbert@viterbo.edu with any questions.

 

Employees whose spouse or child will be graduating have the opportunity to present their diploma cover during commencement ceremonies. Any Viterbo employee interested in presenting a family diploma cover must notify Kori Salaski at kfsalaski@viterbo.edu by Monday, Oct. 16.
