LA CROSSE ARTS ORGANIZATIONS TO RELEASE FINDINGS OF MAJOR ECONOMIC IMPACT STUDY
LA CROSSE, Wis. – La Crosse area arts organizations will unveil the results of Arts & Economic Prosperity 5, the most comprehensive economic impact study of the City of La Crosse’s nonprofit arts industry ever conducted. A press conference will take place Thursday, June 29 at 5:15 p.m. at the Weber Center for the Performing Arts.
Americans for the Arts, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving, advancing, and leading the network of organizations and individuals who cultivate, promote, sustain, and support the arts in America, conducts the study every five years. Results of the study reveal the level of economic activity as well as the number of full-time jobs the arts industry in La Crosse generates. The study’s findings also show how much tax revenue the nonprofit arts sector produces for the City of La Crosse and Wisconsin.
Speakers at the press conference will include individuals representing tourist, business, and political perspectives in regards to the arts. The speakers will be available for interview and photo opportunities for 15 minutes after the press conference concludes.
A social will precede the press conference at 4:30 p.m. and will include a cash bar and appetizers. The press conference will take place in the Veterans Studio Theatre at the Weber Center for the Performing Arts beginning at 5:15 p.m. Parking is available in the Pump House lot or the public parking ramp.
