Opportunities for Non-majors

Do you want to continue performing, but you don’t plan to major in music? The music department offers these opportunities, open to all students regardless of major:

Non-Major Music Scholarships

A limited number of competitive scholarships may be available for incoming fall semester freshman and transfer students who wish to continue their love of music at Viterbo without declaring a music major. The non-major music scholarship is a one-time $500 award that will be applied during the student’s first year at Viterbo. To apply, submit an audition video of yourself singing “The Star Spangled Banner” to Lllie Peters at, 608-796-3018. Students must submit their audition prior to Jan. 15, 2019 for the fall of 2019.

Concert Choir

Concert Choir is an integral part of the strong musical tradition of Viterbo University and is open to any Viterbo student. The choir performs music from all eras. They will be traveling to Austria and Germany between the first and second semester of the 2013–2014 school year. Tours are optional and occur every four years but are an excellent opportunity to sing in historical churches and venues. An entrance audition is required to participate in Concert Choir.
