VITERBO MEN’S SOCCER COACH SIGNS SIX RECRUITS FOR 2009
La Crosse, Wis. – Viterbo University Men’s Soccer Coach Andy Lee announced today the signing of six student-athletes for the 2009 season. This year’s recruiting class includes Giovanni Casillas (Northfield, Minn.), Nate Einhorn (Mazomanie, Wis.), Aaron Hanson (Eau Claire, Wis.), Cody Schmeling (Hudson, Colo.), Kyle Spencer (Eau Claire, Wis.), and Jake Wenzel (Stoughton, Wis.).
“This is probably the best overall class of players that we have brought to Viterbo,” commented Coach Lee. “Each one of these players will immediately improve the squad as they all have the quality to compete for starting positions as freshman. The timing of a class like this is perfect as we are coming of a season of great improvement, where we lost only two seniors and one regular starter. Our squad will be bigger and deeper than ever, we’ve had an undefeated spring season, and we are all very exited about the direction we are going in. The most important thing that these new payers possess is that they all share in the passion and commitment that is growing in our squad. I think they all saw that on their visits and really wanted to be a part of the atmosphere. more
