WHO SHOULD ATTEND: All those interested in learning more about Catholic Social teaching and how to advocate effectively.
 

COST: $5 per Student

Campus Ministry and Religious Studies are sponsoring a trip up to Madison to attend the Catholics at the Capitol event sponsored by the Wisconsin Catholic Conference. It is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the intersection of Catholic Social Teaching and politics. You will be able to hear an excellent keynote speaker, attend two breakout sessions on specific issues, hear a panel presentation of both clergy and lay people, and then head up to the capitol to speak to our local legislators. It is a great learning opportunity. Your investment for the day is $5. This cost includes the price of transportation, registration for the event, breakfast and lunch. You would need to have some extra morning to cover dinner. We will  be leaving La Crosse early in the morning (around 6am) from campus and returning around 6 or 6:30 in the evening. I have already made arrangement for students attending the event to be excused from classes.
