Job Fair for Veteran’s – Veteran’s Employment at the La Crosse
Jobs Center periodically hosts job fairs. The job fair provides a no-charge opportunity to meet with local employers and governmental
agencies to discuss potential job opportunities, and submit applications and

La Crosse County
Veteran’s Office – Veteran’s interested in information on federal, state, and
county benefits should contact the Veteran’s Services Officer at 608-785-9719, or at the La Crosse County Courthouse room 1340, 400 4th Street. Hours are weekdays from
8:30 a.m.–5 p.m.
La Crosse Vet Center – The new La Crosse Vet Center, 608-782-4403, at 20 Copeland Avenue opened in December 2010 and provides critical readjustment counseling
for combat veterans as well as benefits assistance, employment services, and
bereavement counseling for families. Hours are weekdays from 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Other La Crosse area services for veterans include:
- Veterans Affairs River Valley Medical Center Outpatient Clinic at 2600 State Road,
608-784-3886. This facility provides primary care services for veterans in the La Crosse area, behavioral health services including individual, group and family counseling,
and programs such as Quit Smart Smoking Cessation. The facility is handicapped accessible with
parking free on premises. Hours are
weekdays from 8 a.m.–4 p.m.
- Veterans Affairs River Valley Integrated Health Center Outpatient

Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) – A cross-enrollment agreement exists between Viterbo University and the University of Wisconsin-La
Crosse to make both the Army ROTC basic and advanced course available to
qualified Viterbo University students who desire to earn
appointments as commissioned officers in the U.S. Army.
