Trauma Informed Care: Is an approach to engaging people with histories of trauma, recognizing the presence of trauma symptoms and acknowledging the role trauma has played in their life. The implementation of trauma-informed services would, instead of asking the individual, "What's wrong with you?" would ask "What happened to you?," and then include this information in planning programs and services.
