Why Liberal Studies at Viterbo?

The Bachelor of Liberal Studies (BLS) is an inter-disciplinary degree with a wide range of choice and flexibility for students in the choosing of courses. The major is largely self-designed. Students complete 39–41 credits, choosing from humanities, social sciences, math, and fine arts. Two fields are selected from English, history, philosophy, sociology, psychology, foreign language, women's studies, art, music, theatre arts, and religious studies; and four upper division courses are taken in each field. Two other fields are chosen from the same list and one course is taken in each of those. Credit total is 39–41 credits, 30 of which must be upper division.
