Reading Assistance
The
Academic Resource Center offers the 8-week College Reading Strategies course
for freshman and sophomores at Viterbo. This course exposes students to
strategies for becoming more efficient and effective college readers and
studiers. The format involves “work smarter” lectures, exposure to new
reading strategies, and in-class exercises for applying new reading
skills. In one-on-one appointments, the reading specialist will discuss
students’ specific concerns as well as covering strategies and techniques
discussed in the College Reading Strategies course.
Our
reading specialist is available on an appointment basis Monday through Friday
from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Students can make an appointment by using Genbook,
by stopping into the Academic Resource Center, or by calling (608)
796-3190. Specific questions may be emailed to Andy Moore
at ajmoore@viterbo.edu.
