This art work is a reflection on how the high temperatures are melting the snow on the Andes region and how that situation is affecting the crops and life of all populations in the region, especially the indigenous ones. The water running down from the mountains floods the agricultural areas in the valleys making difficult to grow food. On September 20, 2006, Cuban painter Pablo Perea worked along with Viterbo students on this painting. They called it "Estaciones del alma" (Seasons of the Soul), and it now displayed in the library.
