Viterbo President Rick Artman will be officially installed as the university’s eighth president at a special ceremony March 30. The events begin with a Mass at 11 a.m. at Maria Angelorum Chapel at St. Rose Convent followed by the Installation Ceremony at 2 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Main Theatre on campus.
A number of activities, throughout the week of March 26–30, following the theme of “Hope and Help” are being planned to involve students, employees, and alumni. A complete schedule of inauguration events can be found through the link at left.
"My theme for the inauguration affirms Viterbo as the University of Opportunity and recognizes its distinctive commitment to help students of all ages achieve their hopes and dreams. The ampersand between Hope and Help is a representation of the Dancing Francis statue on the Viterbo campus. Our Franciscan heritage appropriately joins the hope of students for a values-centered education with the help of a dedicated cadre of faculty, administration, staff, trustees, alumni, and benefactors. Joan and I look forward to your participation in this special university and community celebration."
