The Iowa Early childhood PK-Grade 3 Endorsement requires 24 credits of coursework and is designed in two tracks. Students may either apply for the Early Childhood Endorsement program or they may combine this coursework with our Master of Arts in Education degree for an additional 15 credits of core courses. If combined with the Master’s Degree the Early Childhood endorsement courses can be used as electives. The Early Childhood Endorsement program offers a wide variety coursework that includes four levels of field experience to provide comprehensive knowledge of the early childhood learner.
You may apply for a waiver of up to six equivalent undergraduate or graduate credit hours completed within the past seven years from a regionally accredited institution. Your official transcripts will be reviewed to determine if a waiver will be granted and may request course descriptions and/or course syllabi in order to make a determination.
Individuals who are interested in the Iowa Early Childhood endorsement 106 (PK-Grade 3) program must complete an application to the Viterbo University Iowa Early Childhood Endorsement Program. Please access the How to Apply link for further online application requirements and directions.
