The Iowa PK-12 Principal -Supervisor of Special Education is a two-year, six semester program which requires an internship during each of the six semesters. The internship is conducted onsite with an approved mentor, which is usually the student's principal. Ten rigorous, scaffolded courses meet the standards set by the Iowa Department of Education as well as the high standards set by Viterbo University.
If you already possess a master's degree, complete the 32-credit licensure program. Otherwise, earn a Master of Arts in Education degree with your PK-12 Principal/Supervisor of Special Education license by completing 36 graduate credits.
The Viterbo Iowa Center will be hosting "Come and Go" Informational Meetings for our PK-12 Principal/Supervisor of Special Education program on the following dates at our Viterbo Iowa Center, 4949 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines: October 14, November 11 and December 16, 2015 and January 13, 2016 from 4:15 - 5:15 p.m.
Current graduate tuition: $325 per credit for the 2014-2015 academic year. (Visit the Business Office for more information)
Financial Aid may be available for those students who qualify and have been admitted to the program.
