Major, Minors, and Courses
The history major requires coursework from the liberal arts core and history major courses. Refer to your undergraduate catalog for the specific requirements.
Students can major in History (39 credits) and earn a Bachelor of Arts degree (requires a foreign language). History majors take courses in three thematic categories:
- Multi-sited histories (transnational, comparative, or international)
- The West and the world
- Historical continuity and historical change
It’s important to pay close attention to the catalog to assure that you stay on schedule for graduation. Consult your advisor with any questions or to keep him or her abreast of your progress. Don’t forget that your advisor is here to help keep you on track.
