Admissions Events

    We look forward to connecting with you! Most of our visits are in-person, but we do offer some virtual visits or events as well. To find a date which works best for you, click on our Visit Calendar or contact Admissions at 608-796-3010.

    Campus Visit Opportunities:

    • Individual visits can be as brief as 90 minutes or as in-depth as several hours depending on the options you choose. 
      • Fall and spring semesters: weekday campus tours, meetings with admissions, and options to attend classes, meet faculty or coaches, eat lunch on campus, etc. We also offer select Saturday morning visits and visit events throughout the academic year. 
      • Summer: weekday campus tours and meetings with admissions counselors.
      • Virtual Visits: if you are unable to come to campus, weekday virtual meetings with admissions or faculty may be requested using our visit calendar.
    • Group/School visits are welcome! We love it when groups come to campus! To inquire about the possibility of a group visit or even a specific career exploration event or topic for your group, contact admissions at 608-796-3010 or admission@viterbo.edu

    • Overnight visits are reserved for admitted high school seniors. Overnight visitors attend classes, meet faculty, check out campus life, and enjoy meals in our campus dining hall. One-night stays are available most weeks, Sunday through Thursday, October through April. Exclusions include holidays, campus breaks, and exam periods. Contact admissions at 608-796-3010.

    VU Preview Days

    Click a date listed above to register! These events are designed to give you a true feel for our campus and its beautiful facilities in a group setting. The day will include admissions and financial aid presentations, tour of campus (including residence halls), student panel, faculty meeting, athletics coach meeting (optional), and complimentary lunch in our dining hall.

    Career Exploration Days:

    • Nursing Showcase - Sep. 22 Prospective students and guests will learn about the admissions process (including requirements for the direct admission track), partnerships with local healthcare facilities, scholarship opportunities, how to bring in AP or college credits for first-year coursework, and more! Attendees will also spend hands-on time in our state-of-the-art clinical simulation center. A Q&A panel with current students and alumni will allow students to ask any questions they have about the nursing program, clinical experiences, student life, and job opportunities after graduation.     • Human Behavior (Psychology, Social Work, Criminal, and Community Justice)Oct. 25 High school students with an interest in human behavior and the human service fields are invited to come to Viterbo University to better understand what it is like to be a student in the human behavior major areas. This opportunity will give prospective students the chance to interact with Viterbo faculty and students within the psychology, counseling, community and criminal justice, and social work majors.     • Nutrition Sciences and Dietetics - Nov. 10 Prospective students and guests will learn about program offerings at Viterbo, career opportunities within nutrition sciences, the pathway to becoming a registered dietitian, and more! This event will include access to Viterbo's food science lab and nutrition assessment lab.     • Engineering - Jan. 20 (After the VU Preview on that date!) Prospective students and their families are invited to learn more about Viterbo's engineering program and engineering careers at this afternoon event. The event features a panel of engineers from regional companies that will answer questions about engineering from a variety of disciplines and perspectives. Additionally, Viterbo's current engineering students will showcase some of the projects they have been working on.     • Computer Science & Applied MathematicsJan. 20 (After the VU Preview on that date!) Prospective students and their families are invited to learn more about Viterbo's Computer Science and Applied Mathematics programs at this afternoon's event. The event features a panel of professionals from regional companies that will answer questions about both computer science and applied mathematics from a variety of disciplines and perspectives. Additionally, Viterbo's current Computer Science and Applied Mathematics students will showcase some of the projects they have been working on. Visit the Computer Science & Applied Mathematics Exploration Day site to learn more and register!

    • Pre-Health - TBD (After the VU Preview on that date!) Viterbo's pre-health program prepares students for careers in a variety of health-related fields. Students get hands-on experience with modern equipment and techniques, and benefit from research and internship opportunities. Pre-Health Exploration Day gives you a chance to learn more about the pre-health programs, graduate school articulations, and to meet local healthcare providers who will share their career experiences.     Nursing Program Virtual Info Session - Oct. 11

    High school students and parents are invited to this virtual info session held over Zoom to learn more about Viterbo’s nursing program. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions of a current nursing student, hear from a faculty member, find out about scholarship opportunities, and learn why a Viterbo nursing degree leads to success for our graduates. 

    First Generation College Student (evening) - Nov. 8

    High school students who are the first in their families to go to college are invited to learn more about Viterbo University and its resources for first-generation college students. See the schedule for the evening and register at the First-Generation College Student site.

    Accepted Student Day - April 6

    Admitted students are invited to attend to learn about the Viterbo experience in a fun and engaging day. This is always a great event to connect with future classmates and community members too!  Visit the Accepted Student Day site to see the exciting things you can be part of and to register!

    Junior Visit Day - May 3

    Our last VU Preview Day of the school year is a great fit for high school juniors (and sophomores too). This Friday morning event coincides with our last day of spring classes and our annual end-of-the-year Courtyard Carnival Celebration! In addition to our regular VU Preview Day schedule, visitors are encouraged to enjoy the carnival. 

    Student Transition and Registration (STAR) - June 17-21, 2024

    Admitted students take the first steps of their journey by registering for STAR. This one-day program is designed to register you for fall classes, take your ID photo, help you learn more about being a college student, understand your resources, and connect you with your classmates.
