Welcome to the Celebration of Teaching and Learning Event Registration Page!
The office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Faculty Development are pleased to present the Celebration of Teaching and Learning on Friday, January 29th, 2016 from 3:30-5:00pm in the Reinhart Center Boardroom.
The Celebration is designed to offer faculty the opportunity to share and celebrate practices in teaching and learning—including instructional strategies, methods, and outcomes. Examples of possible presentations include teaching approaches and learning outcomes, lessons learned, course redesign practices, assessment practices, cross-disciplinary teaching practices, and application of learning technologies.
The format will be concurrent “mini-sessions” similar to a World Café format. Presenters will be at assigned tables with any needed materials (handouts, monitor to share visuals). Presenters will have 5-6 minutes to tell their teaching “story”, followed by another 5-6 minutes for discussion and questions. These concurrent sessions will be on 15 minute rotations, and presenters may be asked to present multiple times, allowing both participants and presenters the opportunity to see and participate in multiple sessions.
The registration form below is for all faculty and staff--presenting or not--who plan to attend the event. The registration deadline is Friday, January 15th.
** If you plan on presenting on more than one topic, please submit a separate form for each presentation.**
