Rick Walters is an actor and director. He has been a member of the acting companies at the Guthrie Theatre, Indiana Repertory Theatre, The Empty Space Theatre in Seattle and Picture This Players in Indianapolis. His directing credits include The Importance of Being Earnest for Goshen College and The Trip to Bountiful for the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. At Viterbo University he has directed Brighton Beach Memoirs, Between Daylight and Booneville, Great Expectations, and Zealot. As a teaching artist, Rick has been influential in developing educational theatre programs at the Guthrie Theatre, Stepping Stone Theatre, Stage Coach, Park Square Theatre, Young Audiences of Indiana and others. He has taught acting, movement and voice at the University of Minnesota and Indiana University at Indianapolis. He is a member of the Regional Selection Committee for the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Rick holds an MFA in acting from the University of Minnesota and a BFA from the University of Evansville.
