James Bowey, assistant professor of photography and digital imaging, and an active photo media artist. He has a deep professional experience as an international photographer, filmmaker, and editor; and he has developed and taught an innovative set of photography and digital imaging courses based on a theory and practice pedagogy. His scholarly agenda is focused on new media image theory and emerging models of media arts for which he's created a set of national and regional projects as laboratories for teaching and learning. As an artist and teacher, Bowey's goal is to create compelling work and prepare students in emerging modes of photography and digital imaging for contemporary media arts careers.
