Harassment or Stalking

Phone, Digital or Electronic Harassment

1. Call campus safety at 3911 if using a Viterbo phone; 608-796-3911 or 608-780-1582 if ­using a non-Viterbo phone.
2. Call La Crosse Police Department Non-Emergency ­Dispatch at 608-785-7241.
3. Report harassment to Internet service provider or cell phone provider.
4. Save any harassing messages and print them out for ­evidence.
5. Block messages from sender.
6. If you receive phone threat or obscene phone call:
   1. Try to keep the caller on the phone.
   2. Check for Caller ID information.
   3. Be calm, courteous, listen and do not ­interrupt.
   4. Write down caller’s exact words and the time of the call.

Stalking and Cyberstalking

1. Call 911 if in immediate danger.
