COPY CENTER QUESTIONS:

Q: WHERE CAN I MAKE COPIES?

A: Employees can make copies at any Department Copier on campus. There is a Department Copier in each building, click Department Copier for locations. Each employee has to log into the Department Copiers using their assigned USER ID AND BILLING CODE.

A: Students can make copies at any Public Copier. There is at least one Public Copier in each academic building. Click Public Copier for locations. Students use a Debit Card they purchase, from a Vending Station in the Todd Wehr Library, to make copies on the Public copiers.

Q: HOW CAN I HAVE COPIES MADE FOR ME?

A: The easiest way to have copies made for you is to send the document electronically to the Copy Center from the CMMC web site. Employees can also bring their document to the CMMC, and pick up the completed job later. Copies made by the CMMC personnel need to have an Online Copy Form, or a Copy Form completed before copies can be made. The Copy Form or the Online Copy Form contain the budget number, date needed, number of copies, paper color and finishing options desired.

A: Students can also have copies made for them in the CMMC.

Q: DOES IT MAKE A DIFFERENCE IF I USE THE CMMC ONLINE SERVICES COMPARED TO GOING TO THE CMMC TO HAVE MY COPIES MADE?

A: In most cases there is no difference in the quality of the copies made using either method, but we suggest files be sent electronically if there are color graphics or pictures within the document to be copied, for better copy quality results.

Q: HOW MUCH LEAD TIME MUST I LEAVE TO HAVE COPIES MADE FOR ME IN THE COPY CENTER?

A: One day is reasonable, except during extremely high volume times -- like the beginning of each semester and during test week -- when a few days should be allowed for completion.

Q: HOW CAN I REQUEST COPIES ONLINE?

A: To request copies online, customers can open the Online Forms link, in the upper right of this page, then select the Online Copy Form link and follow the directions to request online copies.

Q: WHAT IS A USER ID CODE AND HOW CAN I GET ONE?

A: The USER ID Code is a unique 5 digit number given to the each Viterbo University employee. Contact a member of the CMMC personnel to receive your USER ID number. 

Q: WHAT IS A BILLING CODE AND HOW CAN I GET ONE?

A: The Billing Code is an eight to ten digit code used to chargeback copy costs to department budget accounts.

Q: WHAT IS A DEBIT CARD?

A: A Debit Card has a monetary value encoded onto it which decreases in value each time a copy is made at a Public Copier.

Q: HOW CAN I GET A DEBIT CARD?

A: Debit Cards can be purchased and revalued from the Vending Station located in the Todd Wehr Library, at Viterbo University.

Q: HOW MUCH DO DEBIT CARDS COST?

A: This is a one time cost cost of $1.00 to purchase a Card, after the purchase of a Card, customers have to reinsert the Card into the Vending Station and deposit money, which is encoded onto the card, creating the Debit Card.

Q: CAN I HAVE COPIES MADE ON COLOR PAPER?

A: The CMMC has a wide variety of paper colors and paper types available for copies, click Paper Samples to view the colors.

Q: CAN I HAVE COLOR COPIES MADE? 

A: Yes, there is a color copier in the CMMC, just indicate on the copy form or online copy form you want copies in color ink.

Q: CAN I HAVE POSTER SIZE COPIES MADE?

A: Yes, there is a plotter in the CMMC that can print posters up to 34"x44", but the documents must be sent electronically or brought to the CMMC on a flash drive.

Q: CAN I MAIL PACKAGES FROM THE CMMC, IF I AM A STUDENT?

A: Yes, students can mail packages from the CMMC, and pay for postage when package is brought in for mailing.

Q: HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE MY PACKAGE TO GET TO ITS DESTINATION?

A: The distance a package travels and the way it was sent determines when a package will arrive at its destination. A good estimation would be 1-7 days.

Q: CAN I TRACK MY PACKAGE AFTER IT IS SENT?

A: All packages sent by UPS are tracked, click UPS TRACKING  for more details.

A: Express Mail Packages can be tracked by the United States Post Office, click UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE TRACKING  for more details.

Q: HOW MANY EMPLOYEES WORK FOR VITERBO UNIVERSITY?

A: The number of people employed by Viterbo University changes every semester, click Memo Distribution, for current employee status. 

Q: CAN STUDENTS HAVE MAIL SENT TO VITERBO'S GENERAL MAILING ADDRESS?

A: All student mail should be addressed to the Student Union, 702 Franciscan Way, La Crosse WI 54601. If students wish to have packages mailed to the general Viterbo address, they should notify the CMMC personnel in advance, to watch for their name. The CMMC personnel will notify students by email that a package arrived for them, so they can pick it up during working hours.

Q: CAN I ORDER PAPER FOR MY PRINTER OR OFFICE COPIER?

A: Yes, to order copier or printer paper, customers can complete a Supply Form in the CMMC or they can order paper Online.

Q: CAN I ORDER VITERBO UNIVERSITY LETTERHEAD OR ENVELOPES?

A: Yes, to order Viterbo University letterhead or envelopes, customers can complete a Supply Form in the CMMC or they can order letterhead and envelopes Online.

Q: CAN I HAVE PAPER DELIVERED TO MY OFFICE?

A: Yes, customers can indicate where the paper is to be delivered on the Supply Form or the Online Supply Form.
