Registered nurses with a two-year degree from any of Wisconsin’s 16 technical colleges can fully apply those earned credits toward a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Viterbo through a new agreement between the university and the Wisconsin Technical College System.
“This exciting collaboration facilitates seamless academic progression from an associate’s degree in nursing to a bachelor’s degree in nursing that is in direct response to a call from the National Academy of Medicine for a nursing workforce that consists of predominantly baccalaureate prepared nurses,” said Martha Scheckel, dean of the College of Nursing, Health, and Human Behavior. “Such a workforce is linked to improved patient outcomes and lower patient mortality rates. We could not be more pleased to be part of this collaboration.”
The Viterbo University Bachelor of Science in Nursing Completion program offers classes in an online or blended online and traditional classroom format. For more information, visit the Viterbo program website.
