Viterbo community members are invited to submit proposals for the seventh La Crosse Area Workshop on Teaching and Learning, this year with the title of "Confronting Poverty in Latin America."
The workshop is intended to build on the interdisciplinary nature of the North Central Council for Latino Americanists, bringing together regional scholars to talk about a particular topic or pedagogical tool in an informal, roundtable format.
This is not a conference in which presenters are expected to share a paper. Instead, the goal is fostering group conversations on the main topic of the workshop and how it is taught in the classroom.
The event will be held in the Fine Arts Center Hospitality Suite Saturday, April 22 from 9 a.m.–4 p.m. It is sponsored by the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, a Title VI National Resources Center funded by the U.S. Department of Education.
