Facilitators

Tom ThibodeauTom Thibodeau
Distinguished Professor of Servant Leadership at Viterbo University and voted best professor in La Crosse in 2015. Tom is a nationally recognized speaker who provides leadership and organizational culture development consulting to health systems, college systems, school systems, large cooperatives, communities, and organizations of all sizes across the U.S. He has been actively serving the La Crosse community for more than 20 years through his leadership on a number of community boards and committees and as founder and active member at Place of Grace, a local Catholic Worker House.

Annette RoterAnnette Roter, Ph.D.
Faculty member in the College of Performing Arts, Business and Leadership at Viterbo University, Annette possesses over 20 years of years of industry-related experience in leadership development, executive coaching, organizational development, and change management.  With a Ph.D. in organization and management and a graduate degree in training and organization development, she teaches leadership, health care management, and research, has published several articles on leadership, and is the author of Understanding and Recognizing Dysfunctional Leadership. Annette is certified in mediation, conflict resolution, Crucial Conversations ™ and Confrontations ™, and a number of leadership and personality assessments and helps organizations employ these tools in meaningful and accessible ways.

Rick KyteRichard Kyte, Ph.D.
Director of the D. B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership, Rick is a Professor of Philosophy at Viterbo University. With a Ph.D. in philosophy from The Johns Hopkins University, Rick writes a regular column for the La Crosse Tribune titled “The Ethical Life” and is the author of several books including Ethical Business: Cultivating the Good in Organizational CultureAn Ethical Life: a Practical Guide to Ethical Reasoning and Ideas Unite, Issues Divide.  He has published and lectured widely on topics related to justice, forgiveness, virtue, and the meaning of life.

Amit SoodAmit Sood, M.D.
Professor of medicine at Mayo Clinic, Director of the Mind-Body Medicine Initiative and 2018-19 Visiting Scholar of the D.B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership. He is also the creator of the Mayo Clinic Healthy Living Resilient Mind program and has authored multiple books including The Mayo Clinic Guide to Stress-Free Living, The Mayo Clinic Handbook for Happiness, Immerse: A 52-Week Course in Resilient Living, and Mindfulness Redesigned for the Twenty-first Century. Sood received the 2010 Distinguished Service Award, the 2010 Innovator of the Year Award, the 2013 Outstanding Physician Scientist Award, and the 2016 Faculty of the Year Award from Mayo Clinic. He was also honored as the Robert Wood Johnson Health Care Pioneer in 2015. The Intelligent Optimist (formerly Ode Magazine) selected Sood as one among the top 20 intelligent optimists helping the world to be a better place. In 2016, he was selected as the top impact maker in healthcare in Rochester, Minn.
