Student Information for Career Ready Internship Program
For-credit internships and Career Exploration Not-For-Credit Internships
College students with financial need are often unable to accept unpaid internships in their fields of study because they need to earn a paycheck. By passing on an internship opportunity, they miss out on valuable, real-world experience in their fields of study.
Viterbo University is pleased to have been awarded a three-year Career Ready Internship grant through the Great Lakes Higher Education Guaranty Corporation. This grant will allow Viterbo to pay eligible juniors and seniors $10 an hour for their internship experience, provided that the internship is not paid by the employer. Individual student awards may vary depending on unmet financial need and the total number of applicants.
