Brain and Behavior

PSYC-261

Three hours of lecture/three hours lab per week. This course surveys the biological foundations of behavior (actions, thoughts, and emotions) with an emphasis on central nervous system structure and function. Lecture topics include learning and memory, emotion, cognition, psychological disorders, and more. The weekly lab session involves exploring career options, utilizing disciplinary research tools and techniques, and practicing oral communication of research findings. Prerequisite: four credits of BIOL, three credits of PSYC. (Equivalent to BIOP 261.) OC
