Research Interests

My research broadly focuses on the evolution of social and mating behavior in a variety of species (e.g., crickets, isopods, cockroaches, guppies). I am particularly interested in understanding factors affecting the expression of social behaviors related to the boldness-shyness continuum and factors affecting the courtship behaviors of species that display nuptial gift-giving behavior.
