PhotoSALLY DAVIS-MASSEY
76ers VOLLEYBALL / WOMEN'S BASKETBALL 1980 - 1984

Sally Davis-Massey starred for four seasons as a member of the Viterbo College Volleyball team and for three seasons as a member of the Women's Basketball team. Davis-Massey is considered one of the key figures in the success of the 76er volleyball program in the early 80's. During her volleyball career Viterbo teams posted an impressive 62-20 record.

A two time NLCAA All-American selection, Davis-Massey lead the 76ers to a #1 national ranking for the 1981-82 season. In her four seasons of competition, the 76ers made three appearances in the NLCAA national tournament. An excellent setter and server, Davis-Massey's scrappy style of play earned her Viterbo's Most Valuable Player award in addition to several all-tournament selections during her career.

Active in several campus activities, Davis-Massey also was a strong contributor for the Women's Basketball program. During her freshman year she was selected as the most improved player on the team.

76ers WOMEN'S BASKETBALL 1979-83

ary Jo Krouse is being inducted into the Viterbo Wall of Fame for her efforts as a member of the women's basketball team from 1979 to 1983. Known as an outstanding outside shooter, Krouse was a top scorer who also impressed opponents with relentless hustling defense. Her talents helped lead the 76ers to an appearance in the NLCAA National Tournament in 1982.

Krouse was also considered as an outstanding leader both in the classroom and on the basketball court during her career at Viterbo. An outstanding student, Krouse's leadership qualities earned her the honor of being selected as team captain.

Former V-Hawk coach Ellen Jack remembers Krouse as an extremely team-oriented and unselfish student-athlete. It was this type of attitude that helped create stability and to inspire the success of these early 76er teams.
