VITERBO WINS OVERTIME THRILLER IN HOME OPENER

La Crosse, Wis. – The Viterbo University men’s soccer team won their home opener in dramatic fashion by coming back from a two goal deficit to overcome Calumet College of St. Joseph with a golden goal overtime win, 3-2.

Charlie Grill (Fr. –Gleason, Wis.) scored twice including the overtime winner to finally see off the industrious Calumet Crimson Wave. Viterbo Goalkeeper Elliott Purdom (So. - Wilmslow, England) kept his nerve to send the game into overtime with a penalty kick in the last minute of the game. more
