SORENSON HAT TRICK, SCHOOL RECORDS LEADS VITERBO TO MCC WIN

La Crosse, Wis. – Ashley Sorenson (Sr. – Reedsburg, Wis.) made senior day a memorable one as she broke two all-time school records as well as scored her first hat trick of the season to lead Viterbo University to a 4-1 win over Mount Mercy College.

Midway through the first half, Sorenson scored the first of her goals in the 28th minute to break the all-time Viterbo goals record. Sorenson breaks a record that was set by Jessica Bischoff in 2005 with 47 goals. She also surpasses Bischoff on the all-time points list as she now has 121 career points and 50 goals. She then added to that record total with back-to-back goals a minute a part of each other.more
